Crystal Palace have won the 2025 FA Community Shield after defeating Liverpool 3-2 in a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 at Wembley Stadium.
The annual season opener featured Premier League champions Liverpool against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in front of a full-capacity crowd. Both teams played an exciting, fast-paced match, with each side scoring twice in the 90 minutes.
With the score level at 2-2 at full time, the match went directly to a penalty shootout. Crystal Palace held their composure and converted three of their penalties, while Liverpool missed key chances.
