FIFA World Cup 2026 Teams Reveal Preliminary Squads

The upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place this June, is drawing massive attention from football fans around the world. Supporters are eagerly waiting to see the squad selections of the tournament’s top contenders, especially whether their favorite teams will still feature globally recognized star players.

Several participating nations have now officially released their preliminary squad lists, featuring a mix of experienced veterans, rising young talents, and some surprising omissions ahead of football’s biggest tournament.

Argentina National Team

After weeks of speculation, Lionel Messi has officially been included in Argentina’s provisional 55-man squad. The news has been warmly welcomed by Argentina supporters and football fans worldwide.

The list was announced by the Argentine Football Association through its official website.

Although Messi has not yet officially confirmed his participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026, his inclusion strongly suggests that the captain could be preparing for his sixth World Cup appearance — potentially the final international tournament of his legendary career with Argentina.

Alongside names such as Lautaro Martinez, Julian Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister, and Nico Paz, one notable absence appears to be Paulo Dybala, who seemingly is no longer part of coach Lionel Scaloni’s long-term plans.

Brazil National Team

Good news has also arrived for fans of the Samba team, as both Neymar and Endrick have been included in Brazil’s provisional squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Neymar has been absent from the Brazilian national team for nearly three years after suffering a serious knee injury during a match against Uruguay in 2023.

Previously, many had doubted Neymar’s chances of returning to the national team. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti had even stated that only players in peak physical condition would be selected for the squad.

However, there was disappointing news regarding Chelsea youngster Estevao, who was left out of the initial 55-player list submitted to FIFA on Monday. The decision was reportedly made because his physical condition was not considered stable enough for a full recovery before the tournament.

Estevao now joins Real Madrid duo Eder Militao and Rodrygo, who are also expected to miss the World Cup due to serious injuries.

Bosnia dan Herzegovina National Team

Meanwhile, veteran striker and captain Edin Dzeko has once again been trusted to lead the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The squad has quickly attracted attention from football fans thanks to its interesting mix of promising young talents and experienced veterans.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, this marks their second appearance at the World Cup after making their debut at the 2014 tournament in Brazil. Interestingly, from that squad 12 years ago, only Edin Dzeko and defender Sead Kolasinac remain part of the national team setup today.

Bosnia and Herzegovina now head into the tournament with big ambitions of creating surprises and surpassing their 2014 achievement, where their journey ended in the group stage.
